Sam Westover was a senior executive at CIGNA responsible for the Dental ($3B) and Small Business ($1B) divisions. He was the founding CEO of a publicly traded company with 366 affiliated orthodontic and pediatric dentistry offices in 32 states. He was also the founding CFO of WellPoint (now Anthem), the largest health insurer in the United States. Additionally, he was a turnaround CEO of three public companies in the health insurance, pharmaceutical benefit management, and medical device industries. Mr. Westover served as special assistant to the governor of Utah during the 2002 Winter Olympics and established an independent economic development task force. He also received a gubernatorial appointment to serve as chairman of the Public Education Job Enhancement Committee, providing scholarships and financial assistance to facilitate advanced education of high school teachers in math and science. Mr. Westover received the Los Angeles, California, Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2000 from Ernst & Young, CNN, NASDAQ, and USA Today and was named Utah CEO of the year by Utah Business magazine in 2008. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.
Juloy Raymer has been in the healthcare field for more than 20 years, both in the hospital and professional practice setting. Moving from physician practice operations, she joined Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare as finance manager, moving to revenue services director and working to secure all reimbursement due the healthcare system from government and managed care payers. After seven years in finance, she made the switch to hospital operations as administrator of the outpatient clinical services division of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, running all outpatient clinics for the healthcare system. From Methodist, she moved into the vice president of revenue services role for UT Medical Group (a 400-provider multi-specialty practice) affiliated with the University of Tennessee medical school. She has a BBA in finance from the University of Memphis, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0 in her major, and an EMBA graduate also with a 4.0.
John Dickenson was a senior executive with U.S. Renal Care, Inc. ($3B), the largest privately held dialysis management company in the United States. Mr. Dickenson was also a corporate vice-president with Dignity Health ($17B), the fifth-largest not-for-profit health system in the United States. Additionally, Mr. Dickenson was a senior analyst for VMG Health, Inc., a healthcare transactional advisory firm. Mr. Dickenson has an undergraduate degree in business and Spanish from Baylor University. He also holds a masters in business administration and a masters in health organization management from Texas Tech University.
Randy Overton was most recently the Chief Financial Officer of Aspire Health, which is the largest provider of home-based palliative care services in the United States, serving patients in more than 26 states. Prior to Aspire Health, he was the SVP of finance and chief financial officer of NaviHealth, which is a leading provider of post-acute care management services to health plans and health systems across the country and was acquired by Cardinal Health in 2015. He also served as the vice president of financial operations for Renal Advantage, Inc., the country's third largest provider of dialysis services in the United States prior to being acquired by Fresenius Medical Care in 2012. He began his career at Deloitte primarily serving healthcare clients in both the audit group and the M&A transaction services group. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Tennessee Technological University.
Matthew Stockslager, JD, was the vice president and associate general counsel at Dignity Health, the fifth largest health system operating in more than 20 states with more than 9,000 physicians and 63,000 employees across its 400 care centers. He was the lead transaction attorney and oversaw a group of attorneys who negotiate and draft physician employment agreements. Previously, he was a partner with Schottenstein Zox & Dunn in Ohio, handling complex business transactions and high-stakes commercial litigation. He was also a partner with Brouse McDowell in Ohio, representing physician groups and providers. He received the 2017 National Top Assistant General Counsel Award (First Chair Awards, Chicago, IL) and the 2014 Arizona Non-profit Corporate Counsel of the Year (Arizona Corporate Counsel/Arizona Business Magazine).
Brian Arnds was the chief human resources officer of U.S. HealthWorks, one of the largest operators of occupational healthcare centers with 252 medical and onsite clinics in 21 states, employing more than 4,200 people, including 1,200 medical providers. In his role as CHRO, Brian directed all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition and development, employee relations, benefits and compensation, and corporate communications. As a member of the USHW executive team for more than 14 years, he was also actively involved with the company's strategic planning, as well as growth through acquisition and organic means (directly involved in more than 70 transactions). He has successfully led the implementation of several programs that focused on cultural change and using employee engagement as a key strategy to achieving business goals.
Prior to joining U.S. HealthWorks, Brian worked in human resources for the manufacturing and hospitality industries. He served as HR director for Reid Plastics, Inc., overseeing human resource services for approximately 1,500 employees and $200M in annual sales. In addition, he defined strategic direction for all employee relations.
Brian holds a bachelor of business administration in business management from Pepperdine University, The George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management. He attained a certificate on global enterprise management from the University of Oxford, Kellogg College, as well as a certificate on European Union business from the University of Antwerp. He regularly reported to the U.S. HealthWorks board of directors.
Dr. Joshua Berlin practices dermatology in Palm Beach County, Florida. He earned his undergraduate degree at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated magna cum laude. He received his medical degree at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. During his medical training, he was the recipient of many awards, including the Dean's Award for Outstanding Scholarly Achievement and the Annual Student Research Symposium Award, and is a member of the only national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
Dr. Berlin completed his residency in dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Authoring numerous scientific publications in the most respected dermatology journals, he also has become recognized for his significant contributions to the research community. He is honored to be one of the founders and serve as the chairman of the board of PhyNet Dermatology. Dr. Berlin helped to start PhyNet with the idea of bringing together the finest minds in dermatology to provide the highest-quality, cutting-edge care to patients across the United States.
