SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Practice Manager, the Lead Patient Services Representative III is directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Patient Service Representatives. 

Practice Setting:  Outpatient dermatology clinic located inside of hospital in Osprey, FL

Shift/Schedule:  Monday – Friday from 7:30 AM – 5 PM

Compensation:  Hourly compensation + comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental & vision insurances, PTO, 401K match, etc..

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Orders and maintains office supplies and equipment.

2. Ensures compliance with practice’s standards and patient confidentiality.

3. Assists patients with necessary paperwork and scheduling as needed.

4. Maintains work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner.

5. Escalates questions/issues to appropriate resources as needed.

6. Monitors patient check-in and out to ensure efficiency and resolve issues when needed.

7. Ensures patient demographic information is current and valid.

8. Maintains an understanding of billing information to assist providers, medical and front desk staff.

9. Maintains an understanding of services provided by Practitioner and location.

10. Maintains accuracy of medical charts, serving as a resource to other front desk staff.

11. Fields, answers and resolves questions, escalates to management when necessary.

12. Provides support and training to the Patient Services Representatives.

13. Other responsibilities as needed.

14. Regular and reliable attendance.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Associates (Preferred)

 

EXPERIENCE

 1-3 Years’ experience in a Medical Office

Preference 1-3 years’ experience in a leadership position with direct reports

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS Work is performed in an office environment. Involves frequent telephone contact with patients and clinical team. Must be able to work efficiently under high pressure and effectively resolve conflicts as they arise. Work requires some flexibility in working hours.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work requires sitting for long periods. Requires moderate typing skills and sufficient manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and such other office equipment as necessary. Normal or corrected vision to acceptable levels for common office work. Hearing must be in the acceptable range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for variable periods of time.
